Nudges towards Personal Productivity, Motivation, Inspiration and a Fulfilled Life

About JoMetzler

What is this all about?

I want to share my insights with you on how to grow, learn, and become more effective every day, one step at a time. On how to spend a productive day. “Productive day” not only means to learn every day, to become faster, better, more productive, more efficient. A productive day is also one of meaningful work, a day full of motivation, a day of conscious relaxation, a day of good nutrition or natural movement, a day that was enjoyed, a day worth going to bed happy and satisfied and getting up the next morning relaxed and with a smile on your face.

Specifically you will read about

  • Ways to become more effective and efficient at work
  • Ways to make yourself and/or your boss happy through great work, based on often unexpressed expectations of your performance
  • Ways to improve all areas of your life that relate to success and self development, such as motivation, inspiration, decision-making
  • Quotes from leading thinkers that are great for post-its on your computer monitor
  • Books and other media that are great inspirations for all of the above
Also, I will try to make all this information manageable and actionable by giving you one core idea at a time, coupled with one recommendation for the day, to try out your newly acquired wisdom.

“USING knowledge is power.”

What qualifies me for this?

Based on my CV, I have moved around quite a bit. Seen some companies, and universities from the inside. Surrounded myself with highly motivated young people wishing to change the world, or at least maximize revenue.  I studied business administration, and have received a PhD in economics; I interned in various companies, researched for the World Bank, worked as a management consultant for Monitor, and now do business development for Zalando.

But that’s not it. I do it, because I love to read about this stuff, and to talk about it. To try it out, and to share it. And that’s why I’m really here… the stuff above just helps.

I am looking forward to spending productive days with all of you while filling this blog, sharing my thoughts, hearing other thoughts of others, and foremost – learn something new.

Have a nice journey,

Johannes

C'est moi
